I studied Art Marketing at the University of North Georgia. In 2021, I received a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in ceramics and painting. Ceramics has been a reoccurring craft through my life. The first time I remember touching clay was in middle school art class. I made a simple box with some decorations on it. It wasn’t anything thrilling but it was my favorite part of the semester. Later, in my senior year of high school, I took a semester of ceramics. I was hooked. I loved the freedom and the challenge of the craft. I devoted my high school career to music, but wished I had pursued more ceramic classes during that time. I went to college with my mind set on music composition. I ultimately decided it was not the direction that I wanted to go. I needed to find a new dedication. I had such a strong passion for the small moments I had with ceramics, I decided to dive head first. I love the unlimited possibilities and the life time of learning that the craft provides. It also has allowed me to incorporate my love of painting. I map out every major project before I even touch clay. Every piece is individually layered with thought and consideration.
